Hello, beautiful. I gave myself a challenge earlier this summer: to find a patriotic look for the Fourth of July that matched my style and could be used beyond the special holiday. My style has always been simple and comfy with a dose of chic. Trying to find an outfit for the Fourth of July that reflects both my patriotism and sense of style can be tricky. Most fashion available in red, white, and blue often leaves you resembling a trinket from a tacky tourist store. Once the Fourth has passed it can never be worn again until the next year. I took this challenge on and won with this look. The key for me here was to stick to the basics and pull from the new and the old. I recently purchased this fun and flouncy red Milly top (I got it with a gorgeous Milly skirt- stay tuned to see it in the near future). I paired this top with white jeans and then brought the blue in with some of my favorite accessories- blue and white polka dot flats, a striped clutch, a blue striped fedora, and my latest go-to sunnies. The simple white jeans and red top with flare is a classic look that can be worn year round. I introduced blue through subtle accents to keep the overall look casual and chic. This patriotic look is perfect for Fourth of July BBQs and fireworks and beyond.
Special thanks to Allana Wesley White Photography for the lovely photos.
