Happy Friday, beautiful. It’s the beginning of the first official weekend of summer. Welcome summer and the many pool parties and beach days you’ll bring. My family spends most of our summer at the beach or pool (thanks to living in the sunshine state), therefore, I spend most of my summer living in swimwear. Swimwear trends evolve and follow other trends in fashion. The foliage trend that we saw in spring is continuing into summer fashion (click here to see a gorgeous dress featuring the print) and is making its mark in swimwear. It was love at first sight when I first saw the fresh print with bright greens and fresh whites. Chic and exotic, this is the sophisticated sister to the traditional tropical print, making it the ideal addition to your swimwear collection.
This stunning bikini and matching coverup skirt adorned with emerald palm leaves takes this trend to the next level. I must admit, I fell in love with the skirt first. Soft, flowy, and elegant, this maxi skirt features a high slit, is a dream to wear and will take you from pool to lunch with glamour and ease. It can also be worn as a strapless dress. Although too sheer to wear alone as a skirt, I might have a tailor add a light lining. I would love to pair this skirt with a simple white tank, sandals, and a tote. The bikini features a sweetheart bandeau top with removable halter ties and a lowrise bottom. Swimwear collections featuring the foilage trend include bikinis, one-pieces, cut-outs, tunics, dresses, skirts, rompers, shoes, and bags. This summer trend is the perfect chic resort look for your next beachside vacay.
