Happy Tuesday, beautiful. Warm sunshine, blue skies, and cool breezes means springtime is on the horizon. It’s time to begin transitioning your wardrobe from cozy cold weather wear to lighter, sunny styles. This doesn’t mean you need to go out and purchase a whole new wardrobe. For this look, I borrowed some pieces from summer and fall last year and mixed them with an old classic to create this preppy-chic look. I started with raw-edge, cropped jeans and added a striped chambray shirt that I’ve had for years. This classic button-up has been good to me throughout the years and never goes out of style. I layer on a lightweight argyle sweater for that preppy flare. I love playing with patterns and mixing it up. To continue the fun, I add polkadot flats and a striped clutch. Don’t be afraid to mix patterns and textures. The mixup of argyle, stripes, and polkadots works here because I keep it all in the same color family. This preppy and casual look is full of life, making it a great choice for transitioning your style into spring.
