It’s that frightful time of year again when we begin see ghosts and goblins floating in our neighbor’s yards. We enjoy joining in on the festivities, however many of the decorations available are too dark and scary for Mila and Kaiya. Thankfully, there are more kid-friendly options to create a not so scary Halloween home them to enjoy and it’s easy to do. Swap out creepy skulls and wicked witches for sparkly pumpkins, silly bats, and friendly ghosts. Add bright green and purple to the typical color palette of orange and black for a sense of whimsy. Use twinkle lights to brighten things up a bit. Online stores such as Pottery Barn Kids, Grandin Road, and Crate & Barrel have great selections your kiddos will love. The possibilities are endless.
Are your kids terrified of everything too? How do you decorate for a not so scary Halloween? Please share, I’d love to know.
