Happy Halloween, beautiful! Since I became a mom, Halloween has been all about costumes, decorations, making creepy treats, not-so-spooky parties, and trick-or-treating. That was until a neighbor began to throw the most unbelievable annual masquerade party at this time of year. Mysterious and glamorous, this is the Halloween party for grownups. This also happens to be my favorite party of the year, mostly because of the amazing fashion. Everyone goes all out for this black-tie event. The colors of a masquerade include red, black, and white so I keep my eyes open all year for an amazing red dress (which can actually be quite difficult to find the perfect one). I knew I found the perfect dress this year when I spotted this Alexis dress (doesn’t it look like the dancing emoji dress?!). The perfect shade of red, ruffle details, and the perfect fit, I knew this one would be mine. The modern-classic style of this gown can be worn for years to come, making it a great investment piece. I paired it with glittering heels, a sparkly bag, and statement earrings (which I totally forgot to wear in these photos- blame it on mommy brain!). The most important accessory for a masquerade is the mask. I have two different masks I have used. This one in the photos is a chic hand-held one with dramatic black feathers. I also have a glittery red and gold one that ties around my head- perfect for a hands-free option.
Adults deserve to have a Halloween party all their own! Why not get together with your friends and throw a spectacular masquerade ball?!
