Hello, beautiful. I had so much planned for this week. I was going to post some great fashion and family posts. That was until Irma decided to crash the party. I’ve lived in Florida most of my life and have had my share of hurricanes. Floridans often get complaisant about these ferocious storms. This is because we’ve over-prepared for countless hurricanes that make a turn at the last minute and never impact us. We feel silly that we got so worried and it turned out to be all for nothing. Many tend to forget how devastating the big ones were. It’s been 25 years since Hurricane Andrew slammed into Florida and destroyed nearly everything in its path. We thought we were safe from Andrew’s path- that was until he took a last minute turn toward our beloved state. Many were not prepared for the destruction. The rest is history.
In the wake of the ruthless Hurricane Harvey and in anticipation of Hurricane Irma, I wanted to share with you this post I wrote during hurricane season last year. I have included lots of tips on Weathering the Storm that you may not have thought of.
Let’s help each other get through this storm. Comment below to share your hurricane preparedness tips and experiences. Stay safe, beautiful.

Most importantly, keep updated with your local authorities.
