Happy Saturday, beautiful. The weekend is here and it’s family fun time. Getting Mila and Kaiya dressed and ready for an outing can be a bit of a nightmare (mommies of little girls will understand). Finding clothes for our growing cherry blossoms can be quite a challenge. Kaiya doesn’t like to wear dresses or skirts right now but she still likes to be girly. Mila likes everything, including dresses and skirts, but often wants to match her sister. Sometimes they want to dress alike and sometimes they want to be different- but they always want to have the same options. Having the same options is becoming more of challenge since there is a significant size difference between them. Kaiya now wears little kid sizes while Mila is still in toddler sizes. This often means drastic differences in the styles offered form most retailers. Enter Tea Collection.
I fell in love with Tea Collection from the very beginning. Tea Collection offers globally inspired clothes for boys and girls from newborn sizes up to size 12. Yay- I can find the same styles in Mila’s size and Kaiya’s! When we received our little cherry blossoms, I had already had a supply of Tea Collection rompers, bodysuits, and outfit sets. I was first attracted to their Japanese inspired silhouettes and prints. Then, as I got to know Tea Collection more, I was attracted to so much more- their supple and soft fabrics, quality, durability, and overall cuteness made me a fan. Nearly six years later, Mila and Kiaya’s closet is still filled with their pieces. Each collection is inspired by a different country. When I saw the Japanese collection last fall, I was elated. Since we adopted our girls from Japan, we have made a conscious effort to keep their the Japanese culture in their life as much as possible. The new styles were adorned with cherry blossoms, pandas, Mt. Fuji, koi, and lucky cats. This collection meant more cherry blossoms for our cherry blossoms. From tees and sweaters to leggings and dresses, the pieces are all designed to work together. You can mix and match and it all works. I stocked up and bought enough sizes in each style to last them for a few years. For this day, Mila and Kaiya wanted to match and chose their cherry blossom leggings and their panda tees. They looked adorable and were comfy all day long for our family day of adventure.
PS- Kawaii is Japanese for cute. Do you think these look are kawaii?!
Let’s go shopping!
Mila & Kaiya are wearing a panda tee (also here) and cherry blossom leggings (also here) from Tea Collection and cherry blossom Sketchers Twinkle Toes. I’m wearing J.Crew pants, J.Crew tank, Say What? cherry blossom bomber jacket, Puma sneakers, & Louis Vuitton bag.
Special thanks to Allana Wesley White Photography for the lovely photos.
